Just happened to be in Olathe Friday, decided to drive by.
Lights off, nobody's home. Looks like the bank called the note on the 10th, big liquidation TBD per the note on the door. |

Quoted:
I heard fdic told the bank they would pay them more than what they would/were getting from Express if they would call the note. Gun control by fiat? Dupe, posted in MO HTF, don't have link. I'm not buying that, their primary business was LEO/EMS sales, primarily to agencies. Apparently they were using credit to provide payroll, too. I'd say they've been in trouble financially for awhile if that's the case. |
|
Quoted: are we talking about Express Police Supply that is off Strangline, near 119th and I-35? Or is this the one that I keep getting fliers in the mail for, but have yet to go check out? Google search both lead to Express Police Supply on strangline. It's Express police supply AKA OMB express off Strangline that is now closed. |

I could always find some deal to be had. back to FDIC issue, what if that is the case? I read in the F&F thread in GD of a similar situations where being an FFL was made more difficult. Would you be surprised if this wasn't a way to force out FFL's? How many dont have some sort of credit line? |

Probably 95 percent of their sales were either to agencies or LEO's. FDIC? No way in hell are they going to involve themselves in something like this, they're doing good making good on bad banks. The fact that they were borrowing money to make payroll says everything to me, they've been circling the drain for months or better |
| I heard from a friend that they were trying to get out from under their debt best they could without screwing their employees. He said there at the end they were trying HARD to liquidate their inventory so they could pay off pretty much all their stuff except for their payroll loans. All hearsay though. |

Carma's a bitch. Purchased my G19 from them a few years back and was not happy with the customer service at all. Was enquiring about the problems that the Gen4s were having with the double spring and lite loads and the service rep swore up and down there was never any problems. Just people who didn't know how to handle a weapon.
when I heard they lost their Glock contract about 2 years ago, I knew it was only a matter of time before they closed the doors. That WAS their biggest advantage was the LEO/Mil price discount from glock. |
