Define screwed. The minimun sentence for a first offense? Taking into account a previous offense.
DUI FIRST OFFENSE - BAC .15 OR HIGHER - CLASS W MISDEMEANOR - FINES: $400-$500; JAIL: mandatory minimum 7 days-maximum 60 days; LICENSE SUSPENSION: 1 year; OTHER: alcohol assessment and possible alcohol treatment program. PROBATION: 2 days in jail or 120 or more hours of community service, $500 fine and 1 year license revocation. |

License is gone... no matter what in Douglas County. Same with the fine and will probably get probration and AA or something similar.
Tell him to act like a man at the court date and the judge might be nice but really a lawyer will just make the same sentence that much more expensive. |

.150!!!! AND not his first offense. If you ever have to watch someone burn to death in a car wreck because of drinking and driving you might want to see him "get hammered" by the court!
Sorry, but I don't have any compassion for people who drive under the influence. |
