What is it with "gun store guy." It seems that no matter where I go (GU, TBH, gunshows) the helpful counter guy seems to take me for either:
A. A total, absolute idiot.
B. A criminal.

Speaking of WOW, I was at Scheels with my son (2 years old). They have a little section with bicycles, some of which are for toddlers. I put him on one, and was slowly leading him in a circle in the open, carpeted area that is obviously intended for testing the bikes when some woman told me that he needed to wear a helmet. Now, I'm all for helmets, but I'm holding the kids. I asked her if they had disposable helmets like the little booties they have in shoe stores. She did not laugh. Then I asked her if she thought it was a bit ironic that she was worried about my boy falling 18" when they have a 2 story "Ferris Wheel of Death." She did not laugh but some Joe Piscapo looking manger who was walking by did.

It was then that I noticed the tag on the bike. It was green. It said that the bike could only be purchased by individuals over 18 years of age (like the stickers they have on ammo and knives). I asked her if it was an accident, she said no, that the store would not sell a bicycle to anyone under 18 without parental consent. So a 16 year old can drive there but can't buy a bike.

That silly behavior deserves a boycott, or at least a good laugh on the board.

I going to agree it's silly but I'll bet somewhere, sometime they have been sued by some asshat who let their kid ride the bike unattended and the kid crashed and got hurt.

Nothing more dangerous than a starving attorney.

What's really crazy is that they are out of everything in regards to reloading.  Stopped by there to get some primers and bullets.  Looked like old Mother Hubbard's shelves that had been hit by a tornado.  They did have about 8 DPMS AR15's and a guy was buying one while I was there.

Well I walked into a motorcycle shop to look at youth bikes. A few weeks ago they had a whole row of them but they where all gone. I asked if they sold them all and the guy said "nope, they came and took them all". I guess they banned all youth motor bikes and atv's. Ya know, FOR THE KIDS. He told me it's against the law for him to sell one now.  This country is going to hell in a handbasket and much sooner than I expected.
