I just moved here (Wichita, KS) from Chicago. We had a satellite dish. When there was a T-storm or heavy snowstorm it would sometimes prevent the satellite dish from working. Anyone in KS (primarily the Wichita area, but I'm sure that it is the same the whole state over) have a dish and any AARs vis a vis T-storms and/or heavy snow storms??? We have Cox cable now in our apartment, but I don't like it very much. When we buy a house I want to go back to the dish....... Thanks for any input!!! |

I'd have anything but Cox! I had Dish for 2 years or so I guess. I really never had any problem with it except in very bad weather. Then again, I dont watch much TV so when it doesnt work I'm not too put out. I switched to TWC for the package deals and I get a discount from work. Oh, welcome to Kansas! |

My wife switched us from cable to dish when I was in Afghanistan. I came back, had to learn a new remote control, but it was fine. I actually got more channels with the dish and have not noticed a quality probelm with changing weather. But I am not home much these days.... |
