| Can someone please F***ing tell me why there is not a single pistol range other than Fance creek ( which is never open, and in the middle of nowhere ), anywhere around manhatan, northeast Kansas area etc. Tuttle Creek trap club by the way is still telling me that their little side pistol/rifle range thing still in not open, and may never be at this point. Seriously though, I have never lived anywhere that didn't have some sort of indoor range or local gun club near by. I wish I had the $ , a fortune is to be made around here if an indoor range opened up. Sorry for the rant but I just need to shoot on the weekends and this is iritating me. |
There is a local guy (MHK) that is busting his butt to get an indoor pistol range opened in Manhattan, but he is meeting a lot of resistance from the city. Last I heard he isn't giving up the fight, but I wouldn't expect to be putting lead down range any time soon. |
The hours are 7am to sunset, theres no supervision, you get your own key to the gate and can go whenever. They had a very big IPSC meet there a few months ago I think. Its not far off the highway between Manhattan and Topeka, should be an easy drive. |
