I am scheduled to take the class in Columbus, NE on the 16th.  So far 3 instructors are approved to teach the class.

After you guys go can you post up your experiences and where you went kind give those of us that are draggin ass and saving money an idea on the best place to head to.

Class is over and done,  No problems, now to wait for NSP to develop the application form and then wait untill the 2nd.

I doubt you will be saving much money.  The classes we took for $2000 total for the group, sounds like a good days pay, untill you provide the training facility, the range facility for shooting, invest your time and liability insurance, and hire an assistant for the day.  Initial demand is high since it's new, once more trainers come on line and demand for the classes thins I suspect prices will go up as trainers need to schedule fewer classes they will need to raise prices to compensate for fewer classes in the schedule putting money in thier pockets.

The class was about what you would expect for a basic handgun course.  Both the written and practical tests were painless.

I was talking about saving money so that I can pay for it not like coupon saving money haha.

Just FYI:  My dad just got an email from an LT at the state patrol.  It said:

As the law does not become effective until January 1, 2007, we do not anticipate having the application form on the website until that time.



EDIT:  It appears that the left hand just doesn't know what the right hand is doing as the form is now availible.
