Have seen a few mild/warm winters in my time up here.

But but quite like the past 3 years.

Same thing for family.

According to CNN, it's only happened 3 times since 1948. We made the front page news feed…must be a slow day for news!

We know that in the past the Poles had more snow though, so is this a bigger indication of problems in the very short future, spring summer next winter?

14 years or so ago I remember grass lawns for Christmas in the Anchorage area. I remember  lots of snow when I was younger than that and a period of time(a few years) with rainy patches in that era(over the course of a couple years. As time grew closer to now, I remember less melts and a more solid snowy winter. Maybe we are in another cycle? I am <30

We call the wet, rainy  winters "El Nino"  down here on the Gulf of Alaska.

Seems like everyone forgot 2012. I like this weather a lot better instead of digging my fucking car out 3x a week.

I hear ya, Bros. We here in the Great Lakes area just got our first taste of Winter. 45 mph winds, 8*F, and a few inches of the white stuff.

Me, at 70, I prefer the "warmer" winters, tho I've lived thru some -20*F winter stretches here on Lake Erie's shores.

Heck, a few days ago I was out in my T-shirt chopping firewood, crawled under the p/u to change the oil, and cleaned out gutters on my house--it was 55*F. Weird Winter this.
