Sylvan Welcome to Alaska, it is not as easy as some might think to live year around up here. Good long turm jobs are few and far between. There are many areas in the state that are very cold duting the winter. There are also many areas that are much like living in Seattle (Rain). This year has been very warm, just as Shadowblade said it is raining in Anchorage, here on Slope it is only -18 currently. Anything above zero is Spring time weather. Oh by the way up here the sun just returned on the 20th, after being gone for 2 1/2 months. Ever need anything let me know. |

Rain in Anchorage... Yes... This has been a very strange winter. There is still snow on the ground, but we have been having these warm periods where it will rain for an hour or few, then freeze back over. I'm thinking someone has left their front door standing open and is heating the outside like mom used to bitch about.... |
