I just read on facebook that Bill/ProTec Alaska is closed
I knew he moved his shop out to his range, but a person who I know knows Bill well confirmed that his shop is no longer in business Anyone know what happened? Damn, Bill's shop was solid. |

Well fuck, So much for class III up here. Hate to hear that . I wonder what this means for his range if anything. Anybody use Alaska illusive arms? Gotta find a new place for transfers now. Fuck. I was on Bill's email list and didn't hear a thing. I was hoping to get my first can through him. |

He just closed the retail shop which has been winding down since he left his original location. As far as I know, he will continue with steel matches and is concentrating on that. ETA; if anyone is having problems contacting Bill via email, know that his dish blew away some time ago. He wasn't going to replace it as fiber optic is extremely close to reaching his house. I think a matter of weeks. Bill does check his email afterwork before he goes home though.

| Wonder what he will be doing with what's left of his stock? I bought a bunch of little knick-knack things when I got my last transfer from him in October. He's got quite a bit of stuff that was nice to find locally. Can't say ill miss the drive everytime I buy a gun though, haha. Seemed like a lot more effort than it was worth for him out there. He is my favorite person to deal with so I have no clue who I will use now. |

I was wondering about this myself. I like his large stock of small parts for the AR, and he had other stuff. Even his display cases should be for sale. Half his display cases seem to be dedicated to his knife collection, haha. Yea, his ar small parts like behind the counter is impressive. He still has a lot of GG&G products too. |

Wonder if he has any post samples. ![]() All I ever saw in his shop were pre 86 models, BUT I wouldn't be suprised if he had a few stashed somewhere. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the HK SL8 that he had for $1200. (to clarify it was not a sample. just a pretty stick) |

If we can get a hold of him, I have a 3 day weekend this week and might want to zip out there and grab some stuff. |
