Heading to Wainwright village tomorrow for a month... and the bugs haven't hit as of yesterday... I'm in for hell in a week or so.

I took off from the Hula Hula just west of Kaktovik and flew through the night to Fairbanks with a stop in Arctic Village for fuel in June about 10 years ago. Took off a little after midnight and landed in daylight. Pretty cool flight.

Funny, the guy i relieved on tuesday managed umiat for 5 years. His uncles owned the majority of it up until a few years ago.
We had a 180 degree shift in winds yesterday and an electrical storm.
