The better half and I are heading down Kodiak this weekend and is there a must see or must do while were there? I know the crab fest is going on at that time so were going to hit that and eat at Henrys. Other than that we just plan on driving the road system to look around. What is there to do that we'll regret for not doing??

Drive out past the missile launch site, and down the dirt road to Fossil Beach.
Pack a picnic lunch, and enjoy the surf rolling in. Real nice spot to relax for an afternoon. Also, look at the bunkers, and the WW2 museum will likely be open this weekend, pretty cool old radio geaqr, and some nicely restored vehicles in a genuine WW2 bunker. . . \ Added: Also, go up the hill behind town, right through the residential area, and check out the windturbines, you can walk right under them. pretty cool to see those big blades right up close. nice view from up there. Beautiful island, enjoy and take pictures. |
