[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Goodbye, AK

Just wanted to check out. Got out of the Army (5) days ago. ETS'd out of Alaska (duty station FRA). Will have many many great memories of Birchwood, FRA Pedneau, FRA Sportsfire, and the rest of the Fort Rich small arms complex. Will miss the various Anchorage gun stores and their employees! Most of all, I will miss the personal freedom had while in Alaska....I have relocated to Illinois. Yes I know. Infringements and taxes to the left and right, but also where civilian employment has taken me for the time being.

Well, parts of Illinois have great hunting and fishing so not all is lost....just your rights

After a while you will not be able to stand it there and will move back. See you then!
