Anyone besides Alaska Tactical do any regular handgun/defensive training courses in or near Anchorage?

Condition Red

Looks intriguing.  I wouldn't mind taking a pistol 101 then 201 class if they had it while I was free.  FDC sucks with handguns.

The wife wants to learn how to use her AK better(I am a lousy teacher, I didnt know how to disassemble it, much less zero it).
What think that if we were to get 10 people together they would do a class in anchorage for us based on requests for a saturday july carbine, leaving the 10 other slots open for whom ever they can get.

pros:
I can afford it, both in not having to take days off work
first formal training not involving a guy in a smokey the bear hat
local
arfcom meet up
not taught by a scientoligist

cons:
everybody gets to see how fat/inaccurate/everything that we are ONLINE does not work in real life
unknown quality of training/trainer
I would somehow manage to "need" more stuff...(mostly expensive stuff )

I would take a one day Carbine 1 (or 101) class, depending on what day.

I have a Saturday job, but can usually get days changed if I know far enough in advance.
