Irreconcilable differences between Alaska and Hawaii.
The Islanders are registering rifles, banning knives, and missing children. We have a state constitution, which includes the following : "19. Right to Keep and Bear Arms A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The individual right to keep and bear arms shall not be denied or infringed by the State or a political subdivision of the State." . . . You see, We are just of different character, and need to go our seperate ways. |

We got lumped together because there was crap for traffic on either of our own forums, along with being the bastard kids of shipping. If we had MORE traffic we might be able to convince the powers that be tue two forums would be beneficial.
Either way, I will continue to offer assistance to my HI bretheren in exchange for mac nuts and bikini girls. As it is I try to offer discounts when I sell stuff to AK and HI members to try and make up for dumbasses that refuse to Sell to us. I suggest we all do the same. uafgrad and others have mounted campaigns to try and educate people that the usps works fine here to little or no avail. Maybe this way people might take a little better notice of their practice of excluding us. |

I'd say it's good to stick together. I've been flaming EE posters who say "Shipped CONUS only." Both e-mails and IMs. It gets pretty old to see that and then try to explain to them that, a) we're not a foreign country and, b) the same Priority Flat Rate Box that takes their BCG to the next major city costs the same to ship it to Alaska.
Then again, they might be using 'CONUS' to impress themselves with another acronym. Might be fun to get everyone on the AK/HI board to regularly flame these turds. |

Had a friend that worked for the Diamond Sam's Club in Los Anchorage and was on the phone with this ditzy chick at the head office in Bentonville , Ark and informed my friend that "It must be nice having warm winters and playing at the ebeach while the rest of us freeze" This is my confused friend...  ....He asked what she was refering to and the ditz in question said "Well Alaska is right beside Hawaii isnt it?...Its that way on the map"
Here is friend losing all composure.... 
After his outburst he then explains that the map is just laid out that way , finishes his business on the phone and immediately calls me relaying the story in tears

After his outburst he then explains that the map is just laid out that way , finishes his business on the phone and immediately calls me relaying the story in tears My CEO regularly goes to LA, Denver, Boston, Chicago, DC, New York, etc., to make presentations to analysts, investors, etc. We've learned to put a slide up front that shows the typical map with AK near HI and a large arrow that sweeps up toward where Alaska should be, then follow up with a proper projection map that shows our state in relation to the rest of the US. It's amazing to watch the light click on when some of these 'captains of industry' finally figure it out. |

THANK GOD FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU! its so irritating getting the cold shoulder from people on EE after i hit them up to purchase something!! and why... just because im out here living on a dormant volcano? as if it werent bad enough trying to get cats on GB to sell me their hi-cap AK mags already, eeesh. either way, i think the Alaska and Hawaii people should continue to be brethren. we are probably the two most mis-understood states too. Alaskans have to continuously tell fools they arent all eskimos eating blubber in igloos, and Hawaiins always need to convince mainlanders we dont live in grass shacks, have lu'aus every night and wear malos! LOL
