The only one I could find on subguns is in Kodiak.  Any in Fairbanks?  If not, what about Anchorage?

I assume you are referring to dealers

There are 3 that I know of in Fairbanks

Looking to get a suppressor or two.  Fairbanks is easier for me, but Anchorage is doable.

I don't know.  Don't recall the name, but he's the only guy listed on subguns.com for AK.

Took him a year and half to get a Gem-Tech suppressor after my co-worker paid for it.

YMMV

Just curious, does anyone know what AK Tactical charges for Class 3 transfers?

Steve had my Gemtech (Outback II) in stock and I held it before buying.
Steve printed up all my paperwork and made sure everything was filled in correctly.
Steve told me where to go and what to do when there.

Yes, YMMV

Had the same experience as Rip with Steve....  I venture to say that it wasn't Steve at all and Gemtech had something to do with it.

ETA: Just wanted to add that when any of my friends ask "How did you get a silencer" I tell them to go to Steve and Alaska Tactical and he'll walk you through the entire process.  He even gave me a heads up that the lady at the front desk at APD wouldn't know what the fuck you're talking about when you tell her you need to talk to somebody about getting a back ground check done for some firearms related stuff.  The clerk tried to send me to the Troopers, had i not had the heads up from Steve I would have been doing the "run around."

I tell everybody the same thing.  I'm not jaded by my co-workers experience.  I try and drop a few hundred bucks in there every time I come through the area.

At the same time it should be the dealers responsibility to keep you updated and to check status of the can
