Had a chance to talk guns as his booth was right across from the one we were volunteering at.  Also had a chance to talk about my wife's condition with the baby and he said if she goes into early labor to call his office immediately and he would fly her to Denver if she could make the flight  Who knows if that's really true but hey it was sure nice to hear!  All in all a good day followed by a great Kansas concert!

That old bastard is cozying up to your wife and the Senator.  Watch out for him.

Good to see you 2 are doing great.  I'll be leaving FAI on the 27th (found out today) and I'll hopefully be available to shoot sometime.  Hope to go shooting with you before you go to Denver.

He care's a lot for alaskan's. Have also talked with him several times. Alaska needs Ted or we are sunk for any funding.

About 11 years ago I ran into Uncle Ted down town Anchorage as he was walking around by himself.  He took the time to talk to me and acted just like a normal Alaskan.

Teddy also flew up from DC just for one night to attend the annual NRA Dinner Banquet/Auction in Fairbanks.  He had to fly all the way back the following day.  Nice of him to make a trip out just for us.  He spoke at the event.

For anyone who hasn't attended the annual affair, I highly recommend it.  Over 18 firearms were auctioned off/won, the food was great, and the company even better.

Crooked or not, Alaska needs all the political representation we can bear.  It's why a lot of us have kept voting the same bastards back in.  We would like to see someone else but that would mean starting all over as juniors on the hill.

I actually find it surprising that Teddy doesn't have a LOT more money than he does considering he has been in the game so long(est).  Most tend to leave as multimillionaires through sweetheart deals.  Compared to the rest, Teddy is almost a pauper.  Little Benny is another matter though.

I flew Don Young once. Seemed like a regular guy.  I'll be voting for both of them.

And I thought you meant Ted Sattler, the guy who does the Mattress Wranch ads now.  Saw him at the fair, too.

He and my uncle used to repossess cars back in the early 70's (?) before he started selling furniture out the back of a truck for extra dough.

I ran into Ted a few years ago, and he told me all the same stories my Uncle told me.  Must be a fun job, legally stealing cars and evading deadbeats.
