Some of you may already know that Cavalry Arms was raided by the ATF.

No one has the details right now, but what we do know is that their entire inventory and computers have been seized by the BATF.

They are molding new inventory right now, and I would hate to see them go out of business because of this.  I have met the owners personally and they have been great supporters of the firearms community in general and AR15.com.

Below is a link to several ways you can help, by buying a new special run reciever or donation.

The stripped recievers will need some assembly.  You will have to screw the buttplate on and trim the flashing with a razor knife as these are being produced as quickly as possible.  If this bugs you, you can bring the reciever to me in Wasilla and I will do it for you at no charge.  If you bring a lower parts kit I'll install that as well, just be sure to have some extra time since I have to do it all left handed.

I ordered one of the Cav Aid lowers last week.

I'm hoping that these instructions from Cav Arms website are enough to cover any specific differences in assembling their lowers.

I've done 4 normal lowers so I'm hoping for no gremlins when I get it.

If I needed a stripped lower I'd get one from them.

You are offering more than most would.

I got one.  I don't have an AR so I'll start with this lower.

Dude you're as ancient as me & you don't have an AR yet  What's wrong with you!  Do you remember the old board before this one?  Ahhh, memories!

I've owned AKs and FALs and an AR-180 but never an actual AR.  Does anyone have an FFL they can recommend?

Bearclaw46 still does $10 transfers.  Works out of his house though so you have to pick up after 5pm or so.  AGP already has his FFL for mine.
