Here's a IM of mine -The stuff we (or anyone esle) can't have are F/A & SBR's. -You can obtain a CCW, although I'm not sure what's involved in getting one, I haven't looked into it since you can't carry on base. -If you have a secret clearance, you can take a copy of that to the local cop shop and they will give you a "Guam Firearms Permit" on the spot (actually takes about an hour and cost like $11.00 or so). -I don't know if your orders will help you with getting a free permit, if anything, it would hurt, because I think you need to give them your local address. Telling them you are TDY and just visiting might not be a good idea, you'll have to test the waters on that.. -If you are bringing a firearm with you, you will have to register that weapon, which costs $20.00 per gun. I believe you only have 3 days after arriving on island to register what weapons you bring with you. -If that's not enough, you have to register each gun with base security (this is for the Navy, not sure what the Air Force regs are), and submit a request atleast 2 days in advance if you plan on taking the gun from your house to the range. Oh, and you cannot keep firearms in the BEQ/BOQ, but you can keep them in housing. -As far as ammo goes, I only buy from one guy, his name is Jeff, he owns an indoor shooting range called "The Firing Line" and has the best prices on ammo. Jeff is a white (meaning non-local) guy. He is also a dive master and sings in a local band, so what does that mean? He's hard to get ahold of. The best time to buy ammo from him is usually between 10am and 1pm and sometimes on the weekends lol. His prices are fare and he's a nice guy. I've found that when one dealer runs out of ammo, they all run out of ammo, so I just buy as much as I can afford each time I go by there (which is usually when I go in to pick up a lower receiver that I've ordered . -Hunting is allowed on island, however I don't think they shoot dogs lol Deer and pigs are the "big game" here. well I hope that helps. if there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask. |

You need a Guam Firearms ID before you can register a firearm. Also when you bring a gun on an airline and the Guam Customs asks you if you have any illegal firearms....you have to say yes to get the Guam Customs form to register the dang gun you declared with the airline. I thought...no....my gun is not illegal so I didn't declare it. Couldn't register it because I didn't have the Customs form. I chopped up the receiver and disposed of the parts.hipped If anyone is going to the Firing Line shoot me an email for a shooting partner. |
