Hello Hawaii guys. The Sports Authority now has a few boxes of 5.56 winchester Q3131 ammo in stock. The ward store has a few boxes on the shelf and i'm guessing the waikele store should have some also if not, soon. price is 4.99 a box of 20. first time i've seen 5.56 ammo available here in a while. Hope this helps some of you out. |
lol i doubt if it was made in the 80's that they'd carry it but i'll try to let you guys know if anything new comes in. as of now the newest stuff they have is stuff like 243 and 223 WSSM and 270, 300 WSM. other than that, a lot of the ammo was clearanced (like everything remington). usually if they get in something new, they only get a case or two of it in. luckily the 5.56 has 50 boxes per case (instead of the usual 20 boxes per case like the other rifle/handgun ammo). i'll always be on the lookout for crazy sales too so when i know, you'll know that evening. |

I will call them and get down there tonite if it's true. Come to think of it, they should be calling me as I put my name on a list of folks waiting for 5.56... Edited to say thanks Soljah  - I got there tonite and bought 15 boxes. The young gal at the counter looked at me like I was crazy, but it also might have been that over-excited look in my eye.  FWIW, if anyone else is interested, it looked like they had another 20 or so on the shelf, and I don't know if they had any more in the back. |
Glad to help you guys out. They should have gotten in a few cases (50 boxes per case) so i'm guessing they have more in the back. It'll depend on who you ask when you're there though cause some of them don't know what's going on and where (if any) the backstock is. |
| Holy crap! they had this stuff on sale for 1.99 today! i heard it sold out within two hours though. sad i wish they had more. ward store is completly sold out and not getting any more for at least a month. i have no idea about the waikele store. if you were interested in purchasing some, call them up and see what (if any) they got left. i don't think you can or ever will get this stuff cheaper than 99.50 for 1K rounds. |

well in the paper, their ad said it was $3 off centerfire ammunition ranging in price from 8.99-24.99. so technically this stuff wasn't supposed to be on sale in the first place since it costs 4.99. so somebody somewhere messed up which leads to a great day for the few lucky guys who got there first. i wonder if they'll catch on to this mistake and stop it from selling at that price. |
