Well I just wanted to pass on some good news; Gator Guns in Kenai is a great shop to deal with.  A number of weeks ago I bought some surplus ammo from the shop.  I found that the ammo was to high pressure for my M1 Garand and not safe.  I took the ammo back to the shop and spoke with the owner, he agreed without a hitch to take the ammo back.  I traded the30-06 for some other ammo .223 without a problem.

It was refreshing to not have to argue the point and ask someone to do the right thing.

Kudos to Gator Guns in Kenai.

I will be sending a lot of my money there from now one.

Love gator guns.

HE is one of the few, if only full service 'smiths I know of...hunting/precision rifles, revolvers, 1911's, etc etc etc...does it all.

Arron did the snubification of my super redhawk and was reasonable in what he charged for the work.

Fairbanks is worse off.  There is one smith I know but he doesn't advertise, he doesn't have to as his reputation is all he needs.  Then there is a fairly good smith with a storefront but he does not like to work on black rifles, at least AR's, due to his past experiences in RVN.  I did get him to properly mount my scope on an SPR though.  The biggest gun store only does basic smithing/fixing, then you have to let one of the employees whine condescendingly if your firearm or ideas are diverse from his opinion.  However, my business partner is a full C2, one of only three in Alaska, and we set up a machine shop to build suppressors.  The only problem is we both work out of town and summers he is occupied with gold mine ventures.  I just can't win.
