Well this afternoon I am out of this frozen wonderland of the arctic and I get to see my girls for the first time is over three months. I will also get to see the house that I bought this last fall. It has been a long time coming and now it is here. If I can make all of my three conecting flights then I will be home before night fall. You guy working in the bush be safe and enjoy your time back in the world. |

It looks like my 2-n-2 will start when I get on the plane this afternoon. It will simply be nice to be back in the world, if only for a short while. I am tired of only getting to look at "ShotGunNews" and not get to go to a real gun shop. uafgrad are you going to be heading up to the slope? Shadowblade You now have someone down the Kenia to go shoot with if work finds you that way. AK_Mike you are the man, eight months on the Island without your GF and away from that collection of yours. You guys Stay Safe |
Yeah, but are you here now???? I got stuck here due to the accident on the Canyon Creek bridge. See my post... |

uafgrad, Kelly will be doing your CVSA and is one of our Lt's. She is preety hard working and is doing a lot of travaling. Hope everything works out for you and that we will see you on Slope soon. Are you testing to work in Barrow or work as a rotational officer? Four of the villages just started the rotation, my village is one of them. We will have to work the bugs out but should not be a problem. Shadowblade what are you doing down the Kenia? Yess...I have made it home to Homer and will be here for about two weeks. How long are you stuck on the Kenia for. I will check out your post. It is good to be home and relax with my girls. |

AB CVSA went well on Friday, assuming that since I got notice to schedule psych test. Kelly was very nice, actually the test was a lot less stressful than I had imagined. Biggest stressor of the day was showing up and having the receptionist tell me she knew nothing about CVSA's being done there. Luckily she figured it out and I was in the right place. My understanding that all new hires must go min of 1 year in town before they get assigned out to villages. I would assume that lateral transfers have different rules, but I can understand it. Actually, being in town is where I would want to be for a while anyways. Thanks for all of the support up to this point Talk to you soon Chris |
Well the count down starts and over the next 24 hours I will have to traval back to AKP. Homer has been good to me so far. It was great to get to see the wife and my daughter. Homer has great local beer and I was happy to get to try some of it. I look forward to getting in some shooting with you all in March.
