Has anyone used Militec?  It is a synthetic based metal conditioner that replaces the normal oil one uses for lubricating a firearm.  How does it work in the cold and in dusty conditions?  Does the cold effect how it works?  Let me know about any experience you might have with it.

Dang my link to the great lubricant debate only links me to the forum page 1.

In a nutshell, militec seems to be a superlative lubricant but it literally has absolutely no corrosion protectant properties - this was admitted by the makers.  I never tested it at exteme cold temperatures.  I used to get buy on RemOil or when it got really cold one of the following:

No lubrication
Dry Lube
Hint of Hoppes #9 which evaporates and leaves trace oils.

On a normal basis I prefer FP-10 brand of CLP.  It's been reformulated to go to lower temperatures than BF CLP.

Here's another current Militec Thread

As a lube the grease works great on my 1911 . Jams the shit out of my Walther P22.

No, that's the normal functioning of the P22.  Nothing to worry about
