My lovely bride and I are up in your neck of the woods, been here since the 19th. Tomorrow (well, today actually 5-23) we're travelling from Cooper Landing, to Talkeetna, with basically the whole day to blow doing so. My wife obviously wants to stop and see some scenery on the way, and run some errands in Anchorage. I think that we're going to drive the Denali Highway (if it's in decent condition), or go up near Fairbanks to see the Pipeline, and do whatever else we can do tomorrow (as we're leaving on the 26th.) Anyone anywhere on the way wanna meet up for a beer/coke/smoke/burger/chat/hello/goodbye/whatever? We're gonna have to cram stuff in, so we may be in a bit of a rush, but I'd like to at least try to say hello to some of you miscreants while we're up here  If we can't (this is kinda last minute, and I apologize) that's okay. | You will not go far enough to find me, I am in Anaktuvuk Pass for the week. This is a great time of the year to visit the state and be outside. Texas is a little flat compaired to Alaska. The wife has family in the Ft. Worth area. When your in Anchorage you will have to stop by the Fly-by-night Club it is the funniest show in Alaska. |
Actually, I'm just waking up. I think something blew in with this weather, as my allergies are killing me! We're probably leaving in around 30 minutes to 1 hour, and will be in Anchorage this afternoon sometime (maybe around 11:30 or 12:00?) Like I said, kinda last minute notice from me, and with the weather today, things just might not come together. |
