can you carry at that show? I know its against the law to carry at the fairgrounds, but is there and exemption here?

Thanks

Carrying is a no go...  but it's not like they pat you down on the way in either.

There is only two places in Iowa its actually illegal to carry. The state fair grounds is one of them.

can you bring you carry gun and leave it in the car?

You can't carry the firearm on your person but they have no issues with you bringing it into the show in a plastic box or as I've seen a few times over your shoulder?

I guess if I want my gun handy during the show I should just load it up in the tupper ware box, then toss a mag or two into my tactical mag pouches (pant pockets).

Tupper Ware holsters and guns slung over the shoulders have all been checked by the Deputy sitting in the little room to the right after you enter the first set of doors.  Weapons will be cleared, safed and a sticker affixed to them to indicate that you brought in the weapon and not snagged it off somebody's table at the show.

I've seen lots of folks carry empty guns with a loaded mag in a pouch.

If you come out tonight, come visit us at the IFC booth and have a chat!

I checked out the gun show tonight.  I was surprised by the amount of empty table space but the amount of people attending the show was good (not too crowded).

I did have to give the IFC and Accurate Products some of my $$$.  More steel to shoot at is always good.

Thanks for your support of IFC!  Kurtis from Accurate Products was kind enough to donate quite a bit of steel to IFC.  It's good stuff.

Some of the show prices are very reasonable.  I saw the $10 PMAGS.  I also saw a new Mossberg ATR bolt action rifle in .270 for $199, Ruger LCPs for $265, and new Glocks for $440.

I saw the $10 PMags, I only got one (only had $10 left on me, didn't feel like using a card.) I'm probably going to go back tomorrow and try to snag a few more, I don't really need them but for $10 it's a pretty good deal. I'll stop buy the IFC table and get some tickets too I just bought my first AR15 a month ago and I'm already dreaming of adding to my small collection.

The MSRP is $399, but the 3 I saw there were between $585 and $600. One dealer told me they were priced that high to prevent dudes from buying them at MSRP at the show then immediately putting it on Gunbroker.

I held it and it's a little shit...
