| Any hockey fans here? I thinking of checking out some games this season. Should be fun. Fridays are $2 beer night. |
| Section 225 on Saturday night with my wife and daughter...my mom and dad were in 224 right across the aisle. We all had a great time but I don't know how many games we'll make it to during the season as our daughter and I have season tickets to the Des Moines Buccaneers, we might check into the Wild's 10 game package and work around the Bucs schedule if the money is there. |
Iowa Wild Friday night games are $2/beers which for a sporting event like the Wild and an event center like Wells Fargo...$2/beer is very reasonable I feel!
I don't drink at sporting events like sprint car races, Iowa Speedway, Barnstormers, Buccaneers or the Wild as my daughter and I always go together and I yell enough at these events without any liquid encouragement to change the "verbage" of what I'm yelling. |

You now have my attention The next Friday home game is November 1st. I probably shouldn't be hung over for the Long Range shoot... |

M4tth3w- Wow, looks like some sweet seats. Yes they were. The kids (I'd say 7-10 years old) in front of us kept banging on the glass when one of the baron's players was near by and they would shout "Number 24 Sucks!" Then the player would hit the glass with his stick and scare them, but they kept at it. Those seat were kind of pricey, $60 for my wife and I, but worth it at least once.

I remember reading something in a Houston paper that said rink side seats for the Houston Aeros (where Iowa Wild team came from) was $90/seat but in Des Moines there $42/seat. Our seats were $9/seat and we were perfectly happy...I actually prefer sitting up high on the attack end of the ice as I can see the plays develop right in front of us and we're not constantly turning our head from left to right all night long. You can tell that it's a new hockey facility as the plexiglass is very clear and not all scuffed up yet.
