Got there about 5:30. The line stretched halfway to the Capitol Building. We said screw it, went to get something to eat. Got back about 7:00 and got right in. Friend of ours got in line about 5:00, took over an hour to get in the door. Yes, it was crowded.
AR's were coming out of the wood work. Both dealers and walkers, it seems everyone was trying to cash in on the panic. Cheapest one I saw was over a grand. Most were in the mid teens. A lot were over 2K. I didn't see a lot of them changing hands. The handgun market was red hot. Beaupain had a line waiting to fill out paperwork. Sieh had four people working his checkout table. Bob was pretty well cleaned out on reloading supplies. Crazy times. Depending on what you were looking for prices ranged from good to stratospheric. I bought a Ruger LCR in 22lr. Should be fun (and cheap) little gun to play with. |
| Went this morning at 0930...lines was about a block long. Said screw it came back at 1030 and line was better. Got inside and could not believe the prices on AR 's and mags. I figured they would be high but damn! I noticed a couple of AK's above $1200. Over all it was a waste of time. |
| I went lat night. Waited in line for about 40 minutes. Plenty of fully assembled ARs for crazy prices. Hardly any AR parts at all. Saw a few LPKs for $100, some $40 pmags, etc. I picked up a magpul stock, grip, and AFG all in fde for about $100. Pretty much a waste unless you're looking for WWII stuff or shotguns. |
| I was probably one of the people you saw in Beaupain's line around that time. Was nice to see most of his prices weren't inflated like some of the tables. Of course if he ever had his shop open I could just swing by and get stuff instead of having to drive all the way to a Des Moinse since I only live about 10 miles from him. |

I stopped by today. Was crowded. Really only wanted to look around but did find some reasonable 7.62x54r for 6.00/20 so got some Then while bs'ing with a AR vendor I mentioned I needed a bcg and charging handle. He told me to stop back around 2:30 and he hooked me up. Brand new bcg and extended charging handle for less than 150.00! My AR I have been piecing together for my SO and friends to shoot is finally finished!
On a side note holy shit the prices were insane! AR's for 1800-2500, mags for 45 to 60 (did find a vendor selling new gi mags for 25.00), and glock mags for 50.00
