Sand Hill Firearms Training LLC. is pleased to be hosting Shawn Claussen from Dynamic Shooting Systems on August 21, 2012.
The Fundamental Pistol Class is great for the new shooter or an experienced shooter that may be looking for some individual attention to sharpen their skills. The course will be held on our private range from 0800 - 1700. Listed below is a small bio on Shawn and a few specifics on the class. Shawn was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant, E5 and served two overseas tours while assigned to the Marine Security Guard Battalion. Because of Shawn's military experience, he was hired as a Project Manager for Wackenhut, International and managed a physical security contract for one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies. He was selected as a member of the Chicago -Area Operations Team providing armed, personal protective services for select Wackenhut clients. In 1998 Shawn became a certified Police Officer. He is currently assigned to the patrol division. Shawn served as the Lead Instructor of the Firearms Training Unit and is a past member of the Emergency Response Unit and was assigned to both the entry and marksman/observer teams. Shawn was a Guest Instructor at the 2010 International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor's Annual Training Conference in San Antonio, TX where he presented the DSS Handgun Skills Test to hundreds of conference attendees from all over the world. Shawn currently serves as an adjunct instructor for several area organizations.
