Good on you for wanting to master your irons first, some American traditions like this should NEVER go away. Not a big fan of the Eotech myself, but live and learn man. Sling, check. As far as white lights on guns.......first thing with a carbine like you have assembled, safety. From chatting at the IHTF Get together you seem like a pretty responsible guy so I will not say any more. Next thing learning how to run your gun (hit what you want to), then when you are feeling more confident.....a white light to identify what you are shooting at. It is just a good habit to get into (IMHO), and I have one on every gun I own. Keep up the good work bro, R |

Just remember most expensive does not mean best. Look for something in the 100 lumin group. A simple small hand held light like the ones CCA just started carrying called Nightstick Pro are pretty cheap and there are several mounts out there that would bring the price to under $75.00.
Pretty cheap investment for such a worth while tool if you ask me. R |

And the VTAC mounts just look sweet too For that price you could get a SureFire G2, no mount and only 65 lumens... But it would say SureFire
One of these lights is about to find a place on my rifle. You really should get a good weapon light Bhouse, you cant shoot at night if you cant see your target. And night shooting is alot of fun, so dont miss out. |

Quoted: That's a nice Crew Served Weapon you have there. But we are talking about personal weapons. its not too bad weight wise. The carbine is about 8lbs and the sight is 4.5. A little heavy, but its fucking cool. Jack will be along shortly to make me jealous of his set-up. |
