| Hey guys I was just wondering if Iowa has any silly magazine laws or anything else I need to know about before I bring my AR into Iowa. Going to my wifes cousins house for turkey day and have no clue about any of there gun laws. I know CCW is a no go as of right now. |

In fact, the way the law is written, you could potentially get into trouble for having a loaded magazine in the vehicle, without a firearm even being in the vehicle. this law change wasn't the fight we thought it might be up at the capitol this year... it never applied to handguns, even though some thought it did... but it was nice to have the clarity in regard to detaching magazines and a positive law change.
