This weekend.  Aug 29 and 30.  Small show.

I've never had much luck there, but will probably  drive over from Ames.

I would not expect much for reloading components if that's what you're looking for.  Other than a few odds and ends  I don't recall ever seeing much for components at that show.

Where are you at in Ames? I just moved back in for another year of school

I'm 10 miles north of Ames. Boone show takes about 15 minutes to go through if you walk slow.

Work at ISU.  Help with the RIfle and Pistol CLub if you're interested.

I'm in Ames now too... we should get together for a shoot sometime. Not sure if I will head out to the Boone show.

I live in Boone and will be going.  Don't know when yet.  Am looking for a 9mm handgun.

invited some of my DSM shooting buddies last year and one found a Ruger Mark II 22/45 at Siek Guns for $225 with two magazines last year.   I found a 1000 LR primers for $15.   Just something to do kind of show but I wouldn't drive more than 50 miles to attend.

Went today.  Pretty good show, better than I expected.

I picked up a Taurus PT709.  Nice little handgun.  My parents found a Smith and Wesson M&P-15 with Magpul furniture and flip-up sights for a little under $900 and a .22 cowboy revolver.

Good day.

Went Saturday.  That show is improving.  It's still quite small, but there was a decent selection.  Prices seemed  in line.

Virtually  no reloading components, which was no surprise.

Went Sunday morning.  Winchester primers at $30/K.  Federal large rifle match and standard $40 and $35/K. Don't need primers but at least they're around.   Found a guy in the SW corner selling off tool heads and powder dies for Dillon 550 and 650's so bought them all for less then what Mr. Dillon wants now days.

Went Saturday.
Never been there before and was literally out driving around looking for something to do.
Not too bad, been to worse; been to much better.
All I was looking for was a "H" buffer and didn't find one.
Apparently I didn't win the Golden Boy.
Damn.

Graduated and left Ames last year, but met Amershawkeye at the Boone show last year. It was a pretty sloppy ordeal with the usual small-town gunshow types.... You know the 'what the fuck do you want' type of guys.

But, I wanted an AR lower and I found one.

Oh, and say hello to the LT for me... I assume he's still heading up the R&P club.
