I guess there is a public meeting about it tomorrow at the Warren County court house! 0930-1030 or somewhere around there? A friend just told me she got a call this week to go and oppose this. She couldnt remember all the details! |
| Yes, I can't remeber the term, but no city, or entity that falls under Iowa State law can enact a law that is more restrictive than what the state laws are. Ex: Iowa State law disallows smoking in public buildings, so Ames can now pass a city ordinace stating no smoking in any public building within city limits. However, state law does not ban the use of cell phones while driving, so no city, county, or township can ban the use of cell phones while driving. |
