Good article, but it's poorly written. Needs more description on the 10/22 and some statistics wouldn't hurt either. I am glad to see someone writing a pro gun opinion piece in the DMR though.

I would ask people to stop saying that the 2nd Amendment "gave" us the right to keep and bear arms.
The Bill of Rights does not "give" us any rights; it more importantly affirms those which we have naturally.
As citizens/legal residents of the United States, we have the RKBA from birth, by birth.
By saying that the 2nd Amendment "gave" us the right to keep and bear arms would indicate that repealing it would take that right away.
