(see http://www.ar15.com/content/products/handguns/armalite/ar24/). I wonder when we see m-16 made in China... There were Chinese made ARs back before Clinton's executive order banned import of firearms products from China. Since then you won't find any more Chinese products, not Mosins (Type 53), SKSs (Type 56), or AKs... FWIW, Canadians can still buy some Chinese made rifles. I've seen a few Norinco M14s for sale over the past couple of years that I suspect were gray marketed across the northern border. I wouldn't buy one if not for legality questions, but because those particular rifles are notoriously unreliable. |

As far as I know, Armalite really only assembles components. I don't think they actually make anything there. Yes, true. that is why it is a bit amusing to me that so many people think Armalite is a top manufacturer. They are buying commodity items on the open market like most other brands. Although I'll take an Armalite over a BM or CMMG because Armalite does seem to be more on top of QC. In the case of the AR24 it is specifically ordered, but as noted turk mfg. so if you want a CZ get a CZ. |
