I may be back in time for this and would enjoy seeing all the vehicles in the convoy. I would definitely take my M1010 to this and would meet you somewhere Whiteing. I know that someone on the IA HTF has a deuce and a half...speak up now if you have it or if you have any other kind of military vehicle and would like to attend. I think it would be fun to tag along at the back of the convoy for awhile across Iowa in our vehicles.

So due to insurance reasons he can't operate his licensed vehicle on a public roadway near other vehicles doing the same thing?

No, AH means Admin Hold, the s was a typo. I emailed Booger to lock the thread because people were getting upset that a Private Organization was going to recreate an event that happened 90 years ago and they just can't tag along for whatever reason. I just wanted to pass along some info on a once in a lifetime event that would be passing thru Iowa. But I deleted any reference to the event to keep people from getting upset. |

I would have just called you one if that's what I meant. Besides, I don't wnat to screw up the chance to drink your beer. It is a convoy and not just a bunch of guys getting together for a afternoon drive. Even though the people are members of the MVPA, they are going to have to register and pay a fee ($100+) to participate. Any persons riding along besides the assistant driver will have to register and pay also. The fee covers everything from admin costs, log support and paying for the trailing support vehicles. There's 14 months before the convoy rolls thru and alot of work needs to be done. |
