no spectating allowed

the next one would happen to be this sunday.  bring your stuff along and shoot with us.  we dont bite.  you will have a great time shooting.  if you only come to watch you will be mad at yourself that you didnt shoot it.

oh and i have it on good autority that the COF on the pistol range will be fun and somewhat realistic.

You should really spend the $5 on a once through.  There is really no need to spectate first.  Those guys are great, and you will get bored when you don't play along.

I hope you will just trust me on this one.  There is no pressure to perform, and everyone is just having a good time.

The only thing that really gets you in trouble is if you muzzle sweep the people waiting for their turn to play, and that is not hard to avoid.

I may actually find my way out of this hole and make this shoot.

Key word is "may."  No promises, although I will miss you folks.

Shooting with dad got moved to Saturday.

Gonna sell him on BR Sat, and try to enlighten him on the beauties of a bolt action.  Unfortunately, corn isn't out for geese yet.  Tis a pity.

I know that septic said he would be on the road a lot in the near future, so he has an excuse for now.  Later..... that's a different story.

guys, bring your gear........i am telling you that you will kick yourself in the A$$ for a few weeks if you show up to watch.  you will want to shoot.  and as far as not sure if you are ready to shoot.  if you have all the gear and enjoy shooting, and can handle shooting on a "cold range" and follow basic range rules, you are all set.

If you need gear, let me know.  i do have some extra stuff.  i can also tell you that if anyone else at the match has it they will loan it to you as well.

cannot wait to shoot with you guys tomorrow

do you go to a bar and watch people drink??

come on guys bring your gear

I admit my first time out I told myself I was just going to watch

but I took my gear and every person i spoke to gave me tips and assistance

as Brett said bring you gear or you will be pissed off that you have to wait another month to shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

remember Brett very few people have wheel guns  so mandatory six shot reloads will seem really strange to everyone other than you, Skip and maybe Rick F.

see you in the am

Six shot reloads?  I will be reloading my wheelgun every five tomorrow.  See you all then.

Hope you make it Cazador.  It would be good to run into you again.

Also, I don't remember whether it was bb or ozzy, but I appreciate you pointing out the speedloader/ WC SWC relationship.  You saved me a world of headache tomorrow.  I will leave the wheelweights for the .38 at home.  Still gonna recycle through the .40 though.

there will be a match in 2 weeks in boone.  i will post info on it a bit later.  the round count is a bit smaller, but the stages are truely fun.  there is a lot of use of swinging targets and drop turn targets.  Boone is always a good match.

Cazador2, here is the yahoo group that will help you keep up on what is going on with IDPA in central IA.

http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/CentralIowaIDPA/

I asked the question here this morning because I saw BB was online, had posted within a couple of minutes, and knew he was setting up a course of fire.  Joining that yahoo group will get you a consistent email heads up on whether things are going ahead as planned.

Take care.

I was there for about 30-40 minutes punching holes

it was raining to hard to change targets again so I left
