Past few weeks got to shoot Marlin .357 Mag
1894 CB. Also shot Marlin 1895 45/70 both
short barreled & ported. Both belong to Friends.
I own a Marlin 39A .22 They are all fun to
shoot. I sold a Marlin 336 30/30 it kicked to
hard for me but both centerfires above were
comfortable in recoil.Sorry I sold my Marlin.
How do you all feel about lever Actions?

I first rifle I ever shot was a lever action.  this would have been back in the 70's.  It was in my Grandpa's farm house.  I was back in the corner and I always looked at it when I was there visiting.  I finally got up the nerve to ask to shoot it.  I didn't realize it was a 30-40.  After about 3 shots, I didn't want to shoot it anymore.  Couldn't hit anything with it and my shoulder started hurting.  I was in grade school at the time.

I was in a gun shop last week and saw a lever action, and remembered shooting that one out at Grampa's place...
