Well I hail from Pennsylvania and being that i cant apply for a permit in my state until I am 21 I researched and found that i can use a ND
non-resident permit to carry in my state. I was just wondering what the test is like, even thought it is open book and a reason to carry that wont have my permit thrown out by the state. Thanks for your help. -Josh |

You can't fail the test at all. As for being able to carry in your state, I would ask there for a definite answer. I would make sure that nothing will come to bite you in the ass for doing it this way. Good luck.
eta: The wait time for the permit is about a month or more right now. They got a lot more this last month. "they are so far behind. if you send in your application in april, you may get it this month." this is from someone that works in the AG office that was talking with the lady that deals with the CHLs |
| As to the reason, I have always used "for protection of self and family" without any troubles. Also mark the application for "firearms and dangerous weapons". There is no testing for the dangerous weapons, and then you can carry asp or brass knuckles or what have you that you may someday wish to carry. |
