The Rookie in the one video sums up what many poor Cities are seeing from their police forces.
"Its a Job". Used to be a career. Now with low wages, losing benefits, garbage equipment, lack of training, influx of domestic and international terrorism, and anti-government/anti-police sentiment, "Its a job". One that can get you killed for Walmart starting wages. What person in their right mind would want that job. I once read, "When you turn a profession into a job, don't expect professionals to do the job." I firmly believe that the increased issuance of CPL's and pistol permits are the only thing keeping violent crime from absolutely skyrocketing in SE Michigan. |

I think CPLs are A factor, but I'd say ubiquitous surveillance cameras are a BIGGER factor.
