What determines if you get an extension ? I applied to renew my cpl a month & half early ,the told me I was an eligible for extension.My buddy applies to renew his after his expired & they gave him an extension. I was told 3-4 months for renewal ,he was told 6 -8 weeks in wayne co.

Pg 5 Concealed Pistol License Renewal Info 5. If the concealed weapon licensing board fails to deny or issue a renewal Concealed Pistol License to the person within 60 days after the application for renewal is properly submitted, the expiration date of the current Concealed Pistol License is extended by 180 days or until the renewal Concealed Pistol License is issued, whichever occurs first. The extension does not apply unless the person pays the renewal fee at the time the renewal application is submitted, and the person has submitted a receipt from a police agency that confirms that a background check has been requested by the applicant |
