Yeah, no way it'll go anywhere (it probably won't even make it through committee, let alone a vote) but write, write, write anyways - make sure everyone in the legislature knows that these bills have little support.

This bill also has some other ominous items mixed in with it. Including requiring registration and purchase permits for any firearm, like we now have to do with pistols. I doubt it will go anywhere, but let's not give it any chance to.

Very important to be proactive.

Emails sent.

I am strongly against the current pistol registration we have. Why as a law abiding citizen of this nation and resident of this State I should have a legal duty to inform the State when I have purchased a pistol is beyond me. It presumes that I will do something ilegal with that pistol requiring the tracking of it should it be left at the scene of a crime. That entire notion is insulting to me and it's not the way you should treat tax payers.

MI is a sportsmans state.  A large portion of our economy is based on hunting and fishing.  I don't see this bill getting anywhere written in this way.  But yes, write/email away!
