It's in the judiciary committee and sponsored by a bunch of Democrats. Here are the members of the committee: Kevin Cotter (R) Committee Chair, 99th District Klint Kesto (R) Majority Vice-Chair, 39th District Kurt Heise (R) 20th District Bradford Jacobsen (R) 46th District Joel Johnson (R) 97th District Andrea LaFontaine (R) 32nd District Tom Leonard (R) 93rd District Phil Cavanagh (D) Minority Vice-Chair, 10th District Ellen Lipton (D) 27th District Jeff Irwin (D) 53rd District Paul Clemente (D) 14th District _____________________________ Call and/or email now and tell them to oppose it in committee. |

This bill also has some other ominous items mixed in with it. Including requiring registration and purchase permits for any firearm, like we now have to do with pistols. I doubt it will go anywhere, but let's not give it any chance to.

Very important to be proactive.
Emails sent. I am strongly against the current pistol registration we have. Why as a law abiding citizen of this nation and resident of this State I should have a legal duty to inform the State when I have purchased a pistol is beyond me. It presumes that I will do something ilegal with that pistol requiring the tracking of it should it be left at the scene of a crime. That entire notion is insulting to me and it's not the way you should treat tax payers. |
