I've got a Ruger Mark I that I bought used several years back.  It has a bit of a history and has needed a good refinishing since I bought it.  It's still my go-to gun for new shooters, so I'd like to show it some love.  If at all possible, I'd love to have it done by a shop that is somewhat local to southern Michigan.

Is anyone aware of such a shop?

if you aren't going to do it yourself then you should call Todd McKechnie at Customized Creationz.
They are located in Romeo.  He does several types of coatings and has fantastic examples of his work you can checkout on his site.
He is very well thought of on MGO.

Johnson's in Adrian does good work.  They did a wonderful job on my S&W revolver.

I have had a carbine and a revolver refinshed in Diamonkote there - GTG !!   It isn't a fancy place by any means, but he does good work.
