Had a great time, shot in the top 5 on stage 4. But dropped a hostage on stage 2 - Battlefield pick-up (stage 3) was particularly difficult, I rolled the Saiga 12, but I have never handled one, and loading and seating the 12 ga. mag proved to be a challenge. Stage 1 I cleaned the bg's but was a little slow on getting the hits on the 5" steel, red targets, w/ green / brown background, and I'm color blind in red, orange, green, and brown. haha. The best part for me, aside from having fun with a bunch of great people, was finding new failure points, and adding new issues to train on. The experience of actually failing at new and different aspects of the sport, give me even more drive to learn. Thank you for putting on such a great match, I look forward to competing again. forrest0872 - |

SO does it count that i put 4 in the head on the move of the target ![]() I tend to agree with you, unless specifically directed in the course of fire description. I thought that I heard a RSO say that head shots counted for COM shots @ stage 1. Your score would have been more incredablerr ( ) if not for this issue -

Some folks stress speed, some accuracy, the game is played by each according to his own choices.
That said, we need to emphasize use of cover more and we as a group need to read the course descriptions more closely. Steve, to directly answer the question on stage 2, the written COF said one to head, 2 to the body. I explained it wrong during the brief. Your choice of heads was tactically correct but not what the COF called for. I was trying for a failure drill result. There is a slippery slope between whether to shoot it correctly/tatically or as the COF requires. The failure was mine in the brief and in the course design. Besides you won anyway!! |
