Do they do metal detection or wand before entering the hall?

they did have security gaurds with handheld detectors, i couldnt sneak my folding knife in. so ccw at cobo is a no go. there was a thread about this around the time of the auto show.

Just got back from Autorama...no metal detection but I was there when the show opened. I could have had a cannon under my coat...no one would have known.
