That would be my guess, atleast if you want to learn it in a primative setting. My dad did stainglass and glass blowing there back in the early '80's and as I remember it learned it there taking classes.

The Center for Creative Studies near Wayne State has a course. I haven't taken it, but a friend did years ago. What I've learned has been from books or online. Very cool hobby.
