Ok, I've searched and searched and found different links to different sources all saying different things. What states are Michigan CPLs honored in? Specifically, I'm looking into heading to FL in January, driving south on 75 and staying there for a week. Is there something I should know, or where I can find out FOR SURE what the laws really are?

Thanks.

Only way to be absolutely sure is to contact the State Attorney General in each State you plan to travel through.
I believe all States along I-75 from here to Florida recognize our CPLs, but you need to know what their State Laws are and follow them accordingly.
That info can probably be found on each States webpage.

I've twice traveled down through OH, KY, TN, NC, GA, and SC, without issue and I checked the laws of each state, both times.

Watch out for rest stops in OH - gov property = no go.

BTW, MI's CPLs are the most recognized CPLs in the Union. 35 states honor our CPLs. Next closest I think was LA with 33 recognizing states.

We have Mike Cox to thank for that.
He has been very pro-active in gaining reciprocity for us.

That's awesome.

My uncle is a trucker and said the few times he has been pulled over out of state and showed his CPL to the policeman it has gone like this:
Policeman:  "Do you have your pistol with you?"
Uncle:  "No."
Policeman:  "Why the heck not?"

I just moved from Ohio and the recently(within the last 6 months) have removed the restrictions from the rests stops. They are now good to go.
