I know, its a ruger 10/22, but I guess people loved it.  I did this for a customer last week.  It has the EVO2 stock with a few goodies.  He added the optics and laser he got from me after words.  Guess he wants them to match now, which should make it look nice.

What do you guys think?

I built this for him a few weeks ago.  I like the EVO2, it takes some work, but not to bad to install.  Added the YH free float rails, buttstock, standard pistol grip, CAA folding forward grip, and a NC Star 1/2" riser.  This is the second 10/22 I have outfitted and painted.

Looks like a Tapco fucked 10/22....but the paint is alright.

Just think....for $189 he could have just gotten a CMMG conversion kit for a real AR and saved that Ruger from a life of douchedom.

Good paintjob, but I'm with 7M3.  What's the deal with that laser.  They have miniaturized technology since the 90's.  That thing slinging 1.21 Gigawatts?

I don't like those tapco stocks at all, but have had to put a few on.  And whats funny, a friend of mine was joking around, but its so true, that he could have bought an AR for what he has in that ruger right now.

The Ruger is a very nice .22, but lets face it; It is just a .22 plinker. The accessories put on it is like putting a Lamborghini spoiler and rims on a POS Honda.

And people wonder why I have a man crush on some guys here.

The paint is really nice. If I had the ducats I'd have an AR done up like that just for fun.

But I've never understood the concept of people doing the "tacticool" thing to the 10/22. It's been going on since the mid 80s to be sure, I remember seeing all kinds of gewgaws at gun shows back in the day... I just don't get it is all.

Nice paint job, even if it is a tacticool 10/22.

1. What kind paint did you use?

2. How durable is it?

3. How much do you charge?

Some people use krylon spray paint, and it will not last!!!

nice paint, you should do turkey guns if you aren't already.

as for that 10/22...  but hye, whatever floats yer boat, I have Kalashnikov copies that I'm sure would make folks cringe.

The paint was Krylon Camo.  It is not as good as durocoat but for the money, it holds up fine if applied and cured properly.  I charged him 50.00 for the paint job.

I have done quite a few different rifles.  Just sold a Savage 7mm mag last week that looked really good.

I am going to transition over to all Durocoat soon, but will still do the cheaper krylon jobs upon request.  It is more of a hobby to me rather than work.  I am currently working on manufacturing products that will improve the AR platform and various other products.  Just killing time!

Will fill you in on these products once samples are released, you will like!!
