Does anyone know of anywhere in michigan that has simulated scenario with simunitions or paintball? Indoor scenarios would be great. Room clearing and more... The sky could be the limit. Thanks |
| Well it looks like alot of people read this but no one knows of anywhere. If someone were to start a place like this up what would you guys like to see? What kind of building do you think would be better? An old barn? Warehouse? Movie theatre? Theatre would perhaps be a good way to go, especially if it was at one time a multiple screen setup. What scenarios would be good? Any recommendations on team events? I am looking for imput on this due to getting bored with shooting and paper that isnt moving. There has got to be more...alot more. |
What are you looking to accomplish or what market are you looking to tap? Are you looking at gaming or training? |
Just interested in what you were thinking. Some feel that gaming can ingrain bad habits. This is irrelevant if your goal is simply to have fun and you do not care about developing skills and knowledge of tactics that will actually help you avoid or win a lethal force encounter. I did not know if you were envisioning airsoft entertainment or people actually training with the mindset that getting marked meant their wife just became a widow. BTW, I think Steve Fisher of MDFI is bringing someone into the state for FOF in 2009. eta Rephrased so as to not be insulting to "airsofters". I do not care what other people do for fun as long as it does not hurt me or my family. No need for me to be condescending about those who prefer to "game" rather than "train". |

Definately not interested in the "laser tag" end of things. I realize that everything when it comes to these type of things has a matter of perspective involved. I myself find it fun and fullfilling to increase "proper" skill. Would not be interested if it were a "free for all". Thanks for the contact another lefty. I checked out the website. I am not near were he puts on some of his classes but may consider scheduling vacation around one. |

There was a place in Muskegon called Survival Game that ran indoor paintball, and got into simunitions training as well, it was inside an old furniture factory, and seemed to do well, but poor management ruined it in the end. They would run different scenarios that we re challenging and lots of fun.... your overhead in such a thing is going to be pretty high, mainly like heating bills in the winter, and lighting, then liability insurance etc....but in a large town, you may be able to make a run of it if you can get the building cheap enough. Ive played indoor fields in muskegon, grand rapids, coopersville, near Detroit, and over by Chicago, each on had a different floor, cleaning can be a pain! Oh btw ...check these guys out 21st century tactical/airsoft they are at least trying to do somewhat of what you are talking...Ive been there a few times, Ive never tried airsoft btw...I like the concept of using it for force on force training, but...It would be hard to get out of the "game" mindset. |
