I'm getting ready to order a couple CavArms lowers.  I got this from the sticky:

Southgate
Keith Koskela
13742 Callender
Southgate MI 48195
(734) 915-8028
[email protected]
Fee is $10 for all transfers

Anybody know if he still does transfers?  I've already sent an email.  There was another guy in Lincoln Park, but he's not listed.  Anybody have his info?

You won't be receiving anything from CavArms for a while.
ATF raided them a few days ago.

There's a fundraiser basically.  There's also a couple of new stickies in GD about this.

So much for post #223.

Cavalry Arms Cav-15 MkII Receiver "Cav-Aid 2008"

This is a special run of Cav-15 MKII receivers. These will be engraved "Cav-Aid 2008" on the side of the magwell. Given Cavalry Arms stellar position in the shooting community and their current troubles, we’re going to help infuse them with some $$$. This is sort of like a bake sale for firearm enthusiast. In the firearms industry your inventory is your working capitol and all of theirs has been taken. They essentially have to start their company all over from scratch, with no working capitol. Their primary vendor has cut them off net 30 terms and put them on COD, so we’re helping them out with that. Everyone wants to help and this is the best idea we had. The proceeds of these sales are going to CavArms so they can get back on their feet. AGP Arms is just fronting the money and handling the transfers, profits are going to CavArms. Please buy a few, you know these are a great item to stock up on and what a great cause.

Stripped polymer lower.  I wish they made standard aluminum lowers, would rather have one of those.

They make aluminum lowers too, but the fund raiser is for the polymer simply for the profit margin.

Keith has done a couple transfers for me in the past, but he was hard to get ahold of, but I had no problems, I emailed him awhile back and didn't get a response, really not sure if he's still doing transfers anymore, otherwise I could use his service again.

I don't understand how these orders are going to be filled if the ATF has confiscated everything.
Are they being allowed to manufacture more product?

I think this is a dealer of theirs that already stocked the lowers ?

That is what I have gathered. They are selling current stock and donating all profits to CavArms. I've been wanting a lower from them for a while, I guess now is a perfect time to finally do that.

Ken of globalmilitarygunsmithing.com in farmington hills, has done a number of transfers for me in the past for $15. I just ordered one of the cav aid lowers, and have an email in to Ken so he can get his FFL out to AGP arms.

BATF only took the already assembled firearms on the premises and all the records, there is no cease and desist order or anything, no one was arrested. They are manufacturing brand new lowers for this sale if I am not mistaken. I haven't followed the thread in a couple of days but was planning on catching up on what was going on today. If what I posted if wrong I will come back and edit.

I already have a couple Cav Arms lowers, but I ordered another just to support them.

They really do make nice light weight rifles particularly if you use a light weight barrel.  I've found that a 16" pencil bbl upper on a Cav Arms lower makes a really sweet carbine. In fact both my wife and daughter prefer my thin bbl upper on the Cav Arms over a telestock lower. It is lighter and more comfortable to shoot than a collapsable stock.

I also have an old SP1 slab sided upper with a thin 20" sporter barrel. When put on the Cav Arms lower it is a very light sweet shooting rifle.
