Thought I'd post what's coming up. December 12, 2006. Christmas Party for the Jackson Chapter. Jackson County Outdoor Club. Open shooting at 5:15, Party at 7:00. Meat and drinks provided, bring a dish to pass. We're going to be watching a movie about something but I can't remember what it is.  January 12, 2006. Hillsdale County Chapter Meeting. Hillsdale Garden Restaurant. Speakers will be NRA director David Coy who will talk about the NRA's strategies for the coming legislative session, and Undersheriff JJ Hodshire. January 26, 2006. Livingston and Washington Meeting. Howell Gun Club. Speakers will be David Coy, Congressman Mike Rogers and Attorney Jim Simmons who will answer your gun related questions. Also: Fund raising!!! The plan is to do one fund raiser or some sort each month next year. The other side has people who can contribute big donations all at once..most of us are working people who can pitch in a few bucks here and there, but we're going to try to make it easy to do. At the meeting in January in Howell, we're going to be doing a chili-cook-off to raise PAC funds. $10.00 for all you can eat and a vote on the best chili. Best pot wins something yet to be determined. All funds will go towards electing better candidates. In February we'll be holding a .22 pin shoot at the indoor range at Jackson County Outdoor Club..more details coming..JCOC has a board meeting next week and we'll have a date then. In March, we'll be working with the ACTS guys to do something.. In April, maybe a machine gun shoot. Anyway, some stuff is still sketchy but I wanted to let you know what we were up to these days. Come on out and give us a hand, huh? |

Hello Barbara, Don't plan a MG shoot for April. Most of us will be down in Kentucky first weekend or so in April. This means we'll be getting ready for the Knob Creek MG Shoot around this time. Mid may or early June might be a better time for a group MG fundraising shoot. |

Alrighty, come up with another idea for me then. Mid-May won't work..our big kids event is in May and that already kicks my ass every year. But June would work, if anyone would be interested in helping out. We're planning a rifle match of some kind in March. Maybe we can do a trap shoot in April instead. |
