| I believe it's this weekend.......is it worth going to? |
I picked up 2 RRA lowers and 2 LPKs last weekend in Mason. I wouldn't say that I did so out of election hysteria, but I do remember what happened with the last AWB. John |

I got accused of being paranoid in GD over my statement about buying lowers, but I think it makes a lot of sense. On the low end, you can get an AR reciever for $100. I don't personally see any kind of ban before the presidential election, but when it does happen it won't have a sunset date, and will be as restrictive-if not more-than the California ban. If you guys remember, during the Brady Ban it was illegal to assemble a "pre-ban" lower into a "pre-ban" configuration if it was not in a "pre-ban" configuration prior to Sept. 14th, 1994. Buying a few lowers now gives you time to afford the builds between now and whenever the Liberals drop the hammer on us. Cheap insurance. Dave |
If there is an AW ban there won't be a pre ban or post ban. ALL AW will be banned, read that "Illegal to own". So assemble your weapons and then bury them forever. Or take your money and join pro gun groups and fight for your rights to own and USE guns. |
I can honestly say I don't see an outright ban happening. Two reasons: 1) The democrats ass still hurts from the 1994 elections. Even Clinton admitted it was the AWB that did their party in. 2) The .gov can't BAN a gun. This is why there is a $200 tax on Machine guns. Everybody assumes that MG's are federally banned, but that's not true at all. There is a $200 tax on them, and no more are allowed to be made for civilian use. You can still own one. The reason for this is that the SCOTUS in 1934 told the government that they couldn't ban any class of guns, but that they did have the power to tax them. So the .gov put a tax on a Tommy Gun that would have bought a new car at the time. |

The Birch Run show is the weekend after Thanksgiving and previous experience has proved that this is one of their better shows. Here's a link to more info. www.migunshows.com/index.html |
